Partner Terms and Conditions

Thanks for joining the Local Adventures Partner Network. This agreement outlines how we work together to provide great experiences for visitors while supporting local businesses. We keep things simple, fair and mutually beneficial.

Your participation helps travellers discover what makes our region special, and ensures more visitor dollars stay in the local community.

Minimum requirements

Minimum requirements to become a Partner

To join the Perks Pass program, your business must meet the following minimum standards:

  • Provide an exclusive offer (preferred) or a high-value deal. Offers that work well include:
    • A recurring percentage discount (for example 15% or 20%).
    • A value add (such as a free BBQ pack, bonus item or additional hire time).
    • Food and beverage example: a free dish with the purchase of another dish.
  • Your Google Business Profile rating must be at least 4 stars.
  • The offer must be valid on every day your business is open to the public.
  • You must be willing to display Perks Pass marketing material at your business.
  • You will receive 10% commission on every Perks Pass sold at your business – for this to happen the person purchasing the pass must have selected your business from the dropdown list at checkout.
  • You are welcome to include the Perks Pass in your outbound marketing emails (confirmations, pre-arrival emails, newsletters).
  • Partners will receive first right of refusal for additional marketing opportunities such as last-minute deals.

1. What you are agreeing to

As a Partner, you agree to:

  • Provide an exclusive offer or deal to Perks Pass holders. This can be a value-add, bonus item or special experience. It does not need to be a discount.
  • Make the offer available whenever your business is open to the public.
  • Honour the offer for customers who present a valid Perks Pass.
  • Ensure your staff understand the offer and how to redeem it consistently and professionally.
  • Display the Perks Pass promotion flyer in a prominent location at your business

2. No fees and no commissions

Participation in the Perks Pass program is completely free. We do not charge signup fees, ongoing fees or take commissions. Your only commitment is to provide the exclusive offer you nominate and display the Perks Pass brochures at your business.

3. Promotion and visibility

As a Partner, your business may appear in Local Adventures promotional materials, including:

  • Our website and online partner directory
  • Digital guides and visitor information resources
  • Social media promotions
  • Campaigns featuring last-minute Perks Pass offers

Placements may vary depending on campaign focus, but all active partners will be included in promotional activity during the program cycle.

4. Updating your offer

You may update or refine your offer at any time. To keep things running smoothly, we request:

  • 14 days notice for any offer changes
  • Written notification so we can update listings and materials

Seasonal updates and fresh ideas are always welcome.

5. Opting out

You can opt out of the program whenever you like. We ask for 30 days written notice so we can remove your listing and update Pass holders.

There are no penalties or cancellation fees.

6. Customer experience

We ask that partners:

  • Deliver the offer as described and in a friendly and professional manner
  • Treat Perks Pass holders like any other valued customer
  • Contact us promptly if an issue arises

7. Verification of a Perks Pass

A valid Perks Pass will always display:

  • The Pass holder’s name
  • The Pass validity period
  • The Perks Pass ID

The Pass covers the main Pass holder plus up to three additional users.

Partners agree to sight the redemption message or check the validity of the the Pass before issuing their perk

8. Partner responsibility and liability

Each Partner is fully responsible for their own operations, staff, products, services and safety requirements. This includes all legal obligations, permits, licences and insurances required to operate your business.

Local Adventures:

  • Does not control or guarantee service delivery by Partners
  • Is not liable for Partner actions, omissions, safety practices or service quality
  • Does not accept responsibility for any loss, injury, damage, claim or cost arising from the goods or services you provide

You agree to indemnify Local Adventures against any claims, losses or liabilities arising from your participation in the program or the services you provide to Pass holders.

9. Removal from the program

We may remove a Partner without notice if:

  • offers are not honoured
  • customers report unsafe or misleading conduct
  • the Partner engages in behaviour that damages customer trust
  • the Partner breaches this agreement

This does not limit any other rights we may have.

10. Marketing and communications

Partners agree that Local Adventures may feature their business in marketing activities, including digital campaigns, printed materials, social media and SMS notifications sent to Pass holders.

We will not make changes to your brand messaging without permission.

11. Data sharing and privacy

We may share limited information with you for the purpose of validating Pass usage. This may include the Pass holder’s name and Pass validity period.

Partners must handle all shared information securely and in accordance with Australian privacy laws.

12. Duration and updates

This agreement begins on the date you join the program and continues until you update or cancel your participation.

Local Adventures may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.

13. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
